When the BIO national convention begins June 15 in Philadelphia, Connecticut will have a conspicuous presence, showcasing several of the bioscience businesses and the support structure that have established the state as a leader in the life sciences area.

At the center of the action will be the Connecticut booth, #4263 located in The Discovery Zone, Hall A-E of the venue, open from 9:30 am Tuesay, June 16, through 4:30 pm Thursday, June 18. (Click here for map.)

In addition, two Connecticut start-ups have been chosen by BIO to present their progress.

One of the companies, LambdaVision, is developing a protein-based retinal implant. Its CEO, Nicole Wagner, was selected as one of Connecticut Magazine’s “Forty Under Forty” earlier this year, and the company was chosen by the National Science Foundation as one of only 35 companies to which it has provided a special kiosk (booth #101) to showcase its technology. In addition, Melinta Therapeutics and law firms Dilworth IP, Shipman & Goodwin and Wiggin and Dana will provide materials to the booth.
