DESCRIPTION:BioCT’s Annual Holiday Party\, which directly follows Yale Life Sciences Pitchfest\, provides the opportunity to connect with colleagues\, make new acquaintances\, and celebrate the Entrepreneur of the Year\, an award recognizing individual who are imaginative\, passionate and game-changers in Connecticut life science and whose accomplishments are recognized outside of the state. \nOne of the most popular events of the year\, the event draws C-level executives\, academics\, industry leaders\, researchers\, students\, and more. \nYale Life Sciences Pitchfest is a one-day event held each December to showcase faculty innovators presenting breakthrough research projects in therapeutics\, medical devices\, and digital health. Over the course of the day\, Yale faculty-led teams presents their projects in 5-minute pitches followed by a 3-minute Q&A with a panel of judges. Following the pitches\, judges deliberate to determine the faculty awards\, recognizing the most exciting life science research coming out of Yale laboratories this year. \nThe Yale Life Sciences Pitchfest serves as the semifinals for The Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale.
