General Information:

Wellinks designs and manufactures wearable medical devices for orthotics and prosthetics. Our first device, Cinch, helps patients with scoliosis avoid surgery by monitoring brace compliance and helping patients develop healthy habits around bracing. Our system consists of a strap-based monitor that detects tightness and wear time, a mobile app that allows patients to sync with the device, and a web dashboard that allows doctors to check in with patients between visits.

Research Activities
We have conducted a pilot study at Yale New Haven hospital, and we are currently running a series of clinical studies at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York in conjunction with Columbia University. We are exploring the role of feedback and monitoring in brace compliance, and enrolled some pilot patients in Summer 2015. We will be expanding enrollment Spring 2016 once we have manufactured additional devices to support the number of patients to be enrolled in the study.
