Yale scientists eye drug that slows dementia decline

An experimental dementia drug slowed clinical decline in people with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease in a phase 3 clinical trial, a new study shows.

“This is truly the first time we have found unequivocally positive results for a potential therapy that may slow the course of Alzheimer’s disease,” said Yale’s Christopher van Dyck, lead author of a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
