Animating Science: An Evening with XVIVO at the Discovery Museum

Come spend an evening exploring where science and art meet. Michael Astrachan, founder of XVIVO, will take us behind the scenes of the stunning visuals his team creates to bring complex biology, medicine, and technology to life. XVIVO’s animations have been featured by Harvard University, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Moderna, Biohaven, CT Innovations, and in museums, and classrooms around the world.

Whether you’re a student, educator, artist, science enthusiast, or just a curious mind, this evening will offer a window into how visual storytelling is transforming how we understand the world around (and inside) us.

You’ll learn about the process of creating scientific animation, have a chance to meet some of the artists behind the work, and see how visuals can unlock wonder, understanding, and discovery across all ages.
