Jody has a keen understanding of business realities through a diversified background in compensation, sales and customer service. Her surveys and resulting reports have become a well-respected and highly desired tool for compensation decision-makers in the private capital markets. J.Thelander Consulting provides board and compensation consulting to a full range of private companies and investment firms, including life sciences and tech, venture capital, private equity and corporate venture. Jody also spent ten years with TRW Space and Defense, both in Washington, DC and San Francisco, before starting her own firm.

Tim Lew, MBA, Managing Director / Venture Banking, Stifel

As a managing director at Stifel Venture Bank focused on life science and healthcare, Tim mentors and advises startups at all stages of their journey, connecting them to the larger ecosystem and accelerating them to their next inflection point via company building and fundraising strategies. Tim is based in San Francisco Bay Area, where he spent a majority of his career in medical device sales before moving to finance. Tim graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Master of Science in evolutionary genetics along with an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill.
