Connecticut’s New Data Privacy Act and Current Cyber Security Law Webinar

The terms “privacy” and “cybersecurity” are constantly in the news these days.  It seems that each new day brings more reports of data breaches, ransomware attacks, and lawsuits that involve consumers’ data privacy. While there is currently no federal law that addresses consumer data privacy, many states are enacting regulations that require companies to take this matter seriously.  On July 1^st of this year, Connecticut will become the next state to have an enforceable consumer data privacy law.  This webinar will focus on the requirements set forth in the new Connecticut law and also address the other Connecticut laws which focus on data privacy and cybersecurity that businesses need to understand.
