Dr. Jeffrey Jacobson, XR Lead at Immersive Design Systems, Boston Children’s Hospital
Dr. Jeffrey Jacobson has over 30 years of experience in research, engineering, and applications in VR, AR, and XR technology for training and education. Dr. Jacobson was one of the first researchers to use game technology for VR, conduct empirical studies on education with VR, and use VR in museums and educational theaters. Six years ago, he joined their simulation-based training and systems engineering group, Immersive Design Systems, and founded their XR service line. The service provides customized VR and AR training to meet hospital staff’s training and certification within an organization where time is precious, and safety is paramount.
