Shipman & Goodwin invites you to join us for “A Conversation about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace”. Employer Defense and Labor Relationship Practice Chair, Gabe Jiran will be joined by guest speaker, Joelle Murchison, DEI Consultant, Founder of ExecMommyGroup LLC, and Executive Director of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity.

This DEI session will explore topics such as: navigating difficult conversations, exploring unconscious bias and uncovering bias, identifying solutions to organizational challenges, and fostering an inclusive company culture.  This session is sure to be an insightful discussion to help you facilitate constructive DEI dialogue and strengthen DEI initiatives in your workplace

She has served as Chief Diversity Officer for a Fortune 100 company and a flagship state university. Joelle uses her experience navigating organizational dynamics to ensure that EMG’s clients’ strengths and opportunities can be leveraged to the greatest potential using diversity and inclusion as the foundation. Joelle holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University, and two master’s, from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, respectively. She has found a way to incorporate all of her interests – education, inclusion, organizational development, policy, and communications – into her work.
