Speaker: Caleb Bell
Caleb is a seasoned Entrepreneur, Executive, Director, and Investor with international experience. He was involved in over $550 million in biotech financings and partnering transactions, ranging from the raising CEO to the lead investor to a financial advisor. Caleb is currently a venture partner with Beyond Next Ventures and Corundum Systems Biology involved in deep tech investing with a trans pacific slant. He has worked previously with CTIC Capital, Arcline Investment Management, G4S Capital, and Prime Movers Lab. Caleb sits on selected Boards, and serves pro bono for some startup accelerators/incubators ((Stanford’s StartX, Blockbuster Tokyo, FAST, Jlabs, etc.) and industry associations (Alliance for Regenerative Medicine, CLSI, BIO, etc.) all with the goal of growing the bio venture ecosystems in the US and Asia through strengthening collaborative bridges.
Caleb received a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from Stanford University and graduated from the Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is the inventor of over 20 issued patents and the author of more than 25 peer-reviewed publications. Caleb is eternally curious, and his present interests include supporting the commercial and clinical realization of living medicines (cell, gene, and microbiome therapies), bio-inspired innovations being brought to market in synergy with nature, and the intersection of computers and hardware with biology.
