Speed Networking With Helpful Tips and Holiday Fun – Hosted by WIB-National

WIB-National presents a festive speed networking event that will connect our community. Our guest speaker will offer both in-person and virtual networking tips to help you make more meaningful connections. Afterward, we will have an opportunity to put those tips into action! There will be some fun surprises throughout the event, so you won’t want to miss out.

It has been quite a year, so please plan to join us as we come together for some fun, laughter, and hopefully some festive holiday attire. Will look forward to seeing all of you there!

Program:

5:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Check-in and Holiday Trivia
5:30 p.m. – 5:55 p.m. Welcome and Networking Tips
5:55 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Speed Networking
6:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Closing Remarks and Prizes (must be present to win)

Speakers:

Lisa IadiciccoEvent Host

Lisa is the Executive Director for the national non-profit, Women In Bio (WIB), engaging, educating, and empowering all women in the life sciences, from the classroom to the boardroom. She manages the efforts of her staff and over 400 volunteer leaders across North America, to achieve our mission to move the needle on diversity and inclusion within the life sciences and beyond.

She is a leadership expert who delivers with high-energy, the goals of the organization. Challenging WIB members and supporters to leverage their focus and pay attention to what matters most…equity and inclusion.

Lisa earned her BS from Purdue University and her Certification from the Center For Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University. She has received numerous awards for her efforts in both academia and industry. Her strong background in entrepreneurship, business development, and managing multifunctional teams, makes her the perfect fit to head up WIB’s efforts.

Andrea Flack-WetheraldGuest Speaker

Andrea is a leadership team coach, speaker, and owner of &Beyond – a company that teaches mindful improv thinking to leaders whose companies are experiencing times of growth or change. She gained training and performance experience as an improviser in Pittsburgh and New York City and brings the skills of improvised comedy and mindfulness practice together for a truly unique and powerful approach to living and leading.

She earned her BSW from Bluffton University in 2010 and currently lives in Green, OH with her husband and two children. Her book, The Funny Thing About Forgiveness: What Every Leader Needs to Know About Improv, Culture, and the World’s Least Favorite F Word will be available on Amazon December 10, 2021.
