Tanya Y. Harris, Vice President of Global Supply Chain at AstraZeneca
Tanya grew up outside of New York, where she attended Rutgers University’s College of Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Then the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business, where she obtained an MBA. Most of her career has been spent working for consumer product and pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, BMS, Merck, and for the past 18 years, AstraZeneca. Her expertise spans site general management, package engineering, facility maintenance, aseptic formulation/filling, and global supply chain and strategy.
One of Tanya’s most recent accomplishments includes leading the largest AZ North American Manufacturing Site after acquisition from a competitor. This was a thrilling experience, and leveraged all her previous skills and talents to ensure the site transitioned to a high-performing site with a strong culture of teamwork and quality excellence. Tanya is an avid supporter of inclusion and diversity, mentoring underrepresented youth, and serving her local church. She is happily married and the proud mother of two young men.
