General Information:

The Associated Construction Company was incorporated in New London, CT on August 4, 1942 by Angelo Giardini. The organization was originally founded as a military defense contractor and constructed various base facilities for the US Navy and its submarine base in Groton. With a growing need for housing, Associated Construction increasingly expanded into multi-residential construction. In 1946, Associated Construction relocated to Hartford, CT to broaden its client base, and its reputation for quality construction work in the areas of housing development, commercial offices, retail facilities, industrial plants, healthcare facilities, industrial structures and water sewage treatment plants quickly grew. Today, the firm is led by President Joseph Jankowski, and Vice President Kevin McConnell. Joe’s introduction to the industry began with the Associated Construction Company in 1984, and Kevin’s in 2021. Both leaders have been exposed to complex technical projects which have imparted a high level of skill, experience and management techniques. The diversity of positions held between them include field engineer, project engineer, superintendent, estimator, project manager and project executive, which enables them to continue to expand Associated Construction’s legacy of excellence.

The Associated Construction Company excels in constructing bio-technical, pharmacological, and pharmaceutical facilities. We prioritize collaboration with the entire project team from the onset of design development through to the commissioning of the facility. From the beginning, we engage with the owner and design team to evaluate the overall project, considering its impact on surrounding areas, the importance of maintaining ongoing operations, and best practices for ensuring the highest quality construction. Safety is at the forefront of our planning and execution, ensuring that all protocols are strictly followed to protect everyone involved.

We then develop an action plan that integrates project-specific logistics with design requirements, always keeping safety as a top priority. We employ various procurement strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with different design and construction methodologies. We select subcontractor trade partners with a proven track record in complex projects and familiarity with sophisticated engineering systems to ensure successful and safe project completion.
