Stamford VC invests in pharma AI firm

Point72 Ventures reports that it is leading a $17 million fundraising round for a startup that produces software to speed up clinical trials.

The startup is Deep 6 AI, based in Pasadena, CA, which says it will use proceeds to build its capacity to meet demand from health care providers, pharmaceutical companies, and contract-research organizations for the company’s artificial intelligence-driven services.

Point 72 Ventures, based in Stamford, CT, is a venture capital firm headed by Matthew Granade. It was founded by Steven Cohen, who is also the founder of the Stamford-based hedge fund Point72 Asset Management. more
