Grateful Acknowledgment to PhRMA and BIO

eWIB CT, eWIB NY and eWIB Philly were part of the bell ringing and discussions at the New York Sock Exchange last Thursday (August 17th). A wonderful community of women leaders attended seminars on building a board, the fundraising landscape, startup and growth banking, and the path to IPO. Afterward, came on a tour of the NYSE and watching the ringing of the closing bell.
This week I became a Yale mom. I have had the privilege to engage with Yale as a patient, caregiver, collaborator, and through our Board. While every interaction has exceeded my expectations, the parent role is the greatest gift. My son making New Haven his home solidified my resolve to build deep roots and give back to Connecticut.I realize how lucky I am that I could complete move-in and then run over to to Elm City Bioscience Center for a tour. They are the home of BioCT members Alphina Therapeutics, Modifi Bio and Siduma Therapeutics, with ample space in a prime location. Should you be interested please reach out to Darlene Reilly.

This week I also had the great honor to spend time with Senator Tony Hwang, co-Chair of the Bioscience Caucus. I appreciated Tony’s commitment to life sciences and his passion for innovation – this will be a key partnership as BioCT expands in the policy arena. We have a Government Affairs Committee meeting this morning and always welcome additional members committed to ensuring CT is a favorable state for our industry.
