When asked how the Rare Disease Forum went I have said “flawlessly,” and it’s the first time in my tenure I have used that term. It’s a confluence of variables (always the Epidemiologist!), from us getting smarter and learning from every event, to leveraging resources of vast organizations, through finding the perfect cohosts, such as The Jackson Laboratory (JAX). For many, it was their first time in Farmington or at JAX, and I know everyone walked away impressed.Speaking of idyllic cohosts, Office Hours at Boehringer Ingelheim is coming May 1. Every Connecticut based start up should be applying for ‘no strings attached’ mentorship.

Stay tuned next week for a policy update. Rest assured, we have boots on the ground thanks to RSL&K tracking every relevant bill to ensure we don’t miss any opportunities for the voice of the life sciences industry to be heard.
