This week I am feeling immensely grateful and riding a high post our event at Stony Creek. We had >400 registrants, and with the idyllic weather I think virtually everyone showed up. I am thankful to my team for pulling off this event, and our very generous sponsors and table participants. Most of my Board was in attendance, including our newest Board member Carter Winstanley, whom I know much of our community was excited to see and congratulate. We had Senator Christine Cohen and Selectman Jamie Cosgrove who not only made an appearance but stayed with us the entire event, engaging the community and demonstrating their commitment to life sciences in CT.I am also grateful for the full support of the community; for everyone that re-shared our posts, drew attendance and made new introductions. For me personally, it was a pinnacle moment realizing I had come full circle – seeing Dave Wurzer for the first time since Stonycreek 2022, wherein I introduced myself and shared I was tired of flying to work and was seeking a role in CT. He took it upon himself to make key introductions – and there I was Tuesday night, landed, paying it forward by ensuring I am making those connections for our community. Even a former intern of mine showed up from NJ seeking work in our great state.
