Provides crucial savings on lab equipment and supplies; strengthens presence of diverse businesses in the marketplace
Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, has signed a 10-year contract extension with MassBio to support the New England Edge savings and rewards program which will continue to provide industry-leading laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies at competitive discounts to BioCT members.
Thermo Fisher Scientific’s new diversity initiative, a first for the industry, will expand equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) within the supplier community. In doing so, the goal is to increase the percentage of diverse supplier spend by 100% over the next two years.
Through this expanded partnership, BioCT members that participate in the New England Edge program will have access to:
· $4 billion in projected monetary savings over the next 10 years, so members can reinvest in research and development
· Premier customer service, including a dedicated sales team and new hires to supplement and advance Fisher Scientific’s team and the Unity Lab Services Program
· A 1% diverse supplier rebate incentive to BioCT members that purchase supplies and services through the Fisher Scientific distribution channel
· Safety incentive rebate for personal protective equipment (PPE)
