FML recently published an article in TechCrunch explaining convertible notes for startups. Julie Gionfriddo, Director, Advisory Services, explains that, “If an early-stage startup is ready to raise money but its valuation hasn’t been established yet, a convertible note can serve as a good fundraising option.”

$23.9 Million for Workforce Training Initiative

Governor Ned Lamont recently announced a $23.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce has been awarded to Connecticut.

“The initiative will provide resources to support ten Regional Sector Partnerships (RSPs) across Connecticut to train and place more than 2,000 people – particularly from historically-underserved communities – in high-demand jobs in four priority sector areas, including manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, bioscience.”
