Boehringer Ingelheim is off to a strong start in ’22 with continued positive news from the FDA! Its novel investigational therapy BI 1015550 was granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis last month.

At the same time, the FDA approved Jardiance® to reduce the risk of hospitalization and cardiovascular death for heart failure in adults with heart failure. 

In the latest news issued just yesterday, Boehringer Ingelheim announced its Jardiance® phase III EMPA-KIDNEY trial will stop early due to clear positive efficacy in people with chronic kidney disease.

2022 BIO International Convention
For the first time in two years, BIO is back in person for the 2022 International Convention happening in San Diego, June 13–16.
