The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are highly competitive award-based programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development with the potential for commercialization.

Federal funding for the SBIR/STTR Program will expire on September 30, 2022, and we need your support to ensure timely reauthorization! Please take a moment to send an email to your legislators and help make sure that Congress reauthorizes the SBIR and STTR Programs.

group letter was signed by BioCT earlier this year to encourage Senator Chris Murphy to vote in favor of a clean PDUFA VII Reauthorization in the Senate HELP committee. PDUFA was favorably voted out of Senate Help Committee and the House passed their version of the 2022 PDUFA Re-Authorization in late spring.

Unfortunately, Congress has taken no other action on the PDUFA VII reauthorization, and the current authorization is set to expire on September 30th. PDUFA is integral to ensuring continued timely and safe production of the life-saving drugs American patients depend on, so We Work for Health Connecticut is requesting congress vote on the reauthorization as soon as possible.

We Work for Health CT will be recirculating this letter with the entire CT delegation urging them to support final passage of PDUFA in advance of the expiration.

If you have the time, please consider taking a moment to email delegation members as well to ask them to support reauthorization.

Join Michael A. Invernale, PhD, an entrepreneur and SBIR/STTR expert, this September as he hosts VIRTUAL office hours to advise small businesses and entrepreneurs seeking SBIR/STTR resources, training and assistance.
